According to reports, AI glasses company Hangzhou Lingban Technology Co., Ltd. (Rokid for short) is preparing to submit its IPO application to Hong Kong as early as the end of April. If successful, Rokid will become another AI glasses company to strive for a listing on the Hong Kong stock market after Xreal. The company's founder responded that it is just completing the restructuring, which is not directly related to the listing, and is currently focused on new product development. The founder of Rokid is Zhu Mingming, a graduate of Zhejiang University. In 2010, he entered Alibaba after his entrepreneurial company was acquired, and later founded Rokid in 2014. It is reported that by 2025, Rokid's global market share of AI glasses will reach 3.9%, ranking second globally in all categories and first among Chinese brands, topping the global rankings in the "AI glasses with display function" sub-segment. The company aims for orders of over 300,000 units in 2025 and a shipment target of 1 million units in 2026. Tianyancha data shows that on March 6, Hangzhou Lingban Technology Co., Ltd. changed its name to Lingban Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., and the market entity type changed from "Limited Liability Company (Investment from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, non-sole proprietorship)" to "Joint-stock Limited Company (Investment from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, not listed)". On March 29, Hong Kong optical giant CONANT OPTICAL announced plans to invest 180 million RMB in Lingban Technology, with an expected stake of no more than 5%. It is understood that apart from CONANT OPTICAL, this round of financing has also attracted Lens Technology and AI giant SenseTime to invest simultaneously. Lens Technology not only becomes a strategic shareholder but also serves as Rokid's exclusive manufacturing partner; while SenseTime provides deep support for core algorithms.
