(AAPL.US) dropped by over 4%, while NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US), Microsoft Corporation (MSFT.US), and Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN.US) fell by over 1%. According to reports, officials in the Middle East stated that Iran has cut off direct communication with the United States in response to President Trump's morning threat to destroy the entire Iranian civilization. However, negotiations with mediators for a ceasefire are still ongoing. Officials said that this temporarily complicates Trump's ability to reach an agreement by the Tuesday evening deadline, but negotiations have not been terminated. One official stated that Iran's intention is to express dissatisfaction and resistance by cutting off communication. It is currently unclear whether direct dialogue will resume before the deadline. The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comments.
