Secretary-General Cui Dongshu of the Consumer Association of China stated in an article that the world's automobile sales reached 13.96 million units in January-February 2026, with new energy vehicles reaching 2.68 million units. The market share of new energy vehicles in January-February 2026 reached 19.3%, with pure electric vehicles accounting for 13.1% and plug-in hybrids accounting for 6.2%, showing excellent performance. European new energy passenger car sales reached 3.86 million units in 2025, an increase of 960,000 units from the same period last year, representing a 33% increase. Preliminary statistics show that European new energy passenger car sales in January-February 2026 increased by 16% to 550,000 units. The sales volume of new energy vehicles from Shanxi Guoxin Energy Corporation in the US in 2025 increased by 1% to 1.63 million units, with a relatively lower growth rate in recent years. Due to the increase in tariffs and the cancellation of new energy subsidies, the sales volume of Shanxi Guoxin Energy Corporation vehicles in the US decreased by 34% in February 2026 to 78,000 units, totaling 160,000 units in January-February, a 33% decrease. China's market share in the global pure electric vehicle market was 54% in 2026, with a temporary downturn at the beginning of the year.
