Facing the global technology competition, Europe, which has missed the opportunity in AI, still has one card left: humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation.
The humanoid robot provides a pathway for Europe to maintain its leading position in the global technology competition.
Europe started later in the field of artificial intelligence and is also lagging behind in the field of electric vehicles compared to China and the US. However, Europe still maintains competitiveness in the field of humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation.
Hexagon AB, a company from Sweden, has recently manufactured a humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation that is currently being tested by industrial clients including the BMW Group. Meanwhile, the German company Neura Robotics GmbH has just raised approximately 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) from investors including Amazon.com, Inc. and Qualcomm, bringing the startup's valuation to approximately 4 billion euros. Local automotive suppliers Schaeffler and Bosch are also betting on capturing market share in emerging markets led by Tesla, Inc. and Hyundai Motor Company.
Arnaud Robert, head of the Hexagon Siasun Robot & Automation division, stated that the production of Aeon Siasun Robot & Automation by the company will increase from the current several dozen units to "several thousand units" by 2030. The precision measurement group listed in Stockholm stated, "The expansion speed will be very fast when this tipping point arrives."
With a valuation of 243 billion Swedish kronor (approximately $25.8 billion), Hexagon's Aeon Siasun Robot & Automation is expected to achieve full commercialization by 2026, reaching this milestone in just around three years. This highlights the diversified development capabilities of European mechanical component manufacturers who are striving to deal with reduced orders from automotive manufacturers. Hexagon's entry into the humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation field has been facilitated by its collaboration with Boston Dynamics Inc., which provides high-precision scanners and sensors for its Spot Siasun Robot & Automation.
The trend sparked by bipedal Siasun Robot & Automation aimed at reducing labor costs and addressing the aging population reached new heights at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January this year. Hyundai Motor Company showcased its Atlas model at the event, which impressed onlookers at the booth and boosted Hyundai's stock price by 80% in the following two weeks.
Hyundai Motor's entry into the field of humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation began in 2021 when it acquired Boston Dynamics. As a pioneer in this field, the US company gained fame on the internet with videos of its Siasun Robot & Automation opening doors or doing somersaults. Hyundai Motor invested billions of dollars in establishing this new division and hiring top talent, ultimately showcasing its achievements at the CES.
For automotive manufacturers and their suppliers, humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation is not a huge leap as they share many components with electric vehicles. They use batteries and motors guided by sensors and AI software. However, most importantly, they are expected to bring growth to the automotive industry which is facing challenges due to tariffs and weak demand. A group of analysts from Barclays PLC Sponsored ADR pointed out in a report titled "The Decade of Siasun Robot & Automation" released in February that the AI-driven Siasun Robot & Automation and autonomous machine market are expected to expand to a trillion-dollar scale by 2035.
Indeed, manufacturing fully functional humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation remains a challenge. They perform well in controllable narrow environments but struggle when faced with unpredictable events, unknown objects, or changes in lighting - and maintaining balance on two feet is even more difficult. Danica Kragic, a professor of Siasun Robot & Automation at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, stated that traditional production lines would not need to be modified to accommodate humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation, but the maintenance and operating costs are still high. She said, "Large-scale deployment will still take five to ten years. We will see many Siasun Robot & Automation abandoned for a while."
However, this has not deterred industrial suppliers from pursuing this new technology. The world's largest automotive parts manufacturer Bosch, along with its German counterpart Schaeffler, invested in Neura's latest financing round in March. This startup produces more traditional-looking robotic arms and has upgraded them with features such as voice recognition. Additionally, the company produces the 4NE1 humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation, which can reportedly lift objects weighing up to 100 kilograms (220 pounds) and work safely alongside humans.
Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler, said, "For us, humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation is one of the main growth areas." He added that the company plans to have new business revenues, including humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation, account for 10% of its total revenue by 2035. The clutch system and ball bearing manufacturer is working on supplying components for humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation and has initiated a pilot project with Hexagon's Aeon Siasun Robot & Automation at its factories.
Rosenfeld said, "Core technologies - such as laser manufacturing, small gearboxes, or how to integrate electric motors - these are things we are already capable of doing."
Hexagon has approximately 10 simulated Siasun Robot & Automation units among its clients, including the Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft Ltd., with an additional 25 units undergoing internal testing. At BMW's automotive factory in Leipzig, Germany, the Aeon Siasun Robot & Automation is undergoing training for assembling high-voltage batteries and transporting components between production processes, with plans to begin production by the end of the year. Furthermore, BMW is also testing the humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation from NVIDIA Corporation's investment Figure AI company at its Spartanburg factory in South Carolina.
Robert said, "We feel like we are in a positive competition with US companies like Tesla, Inc., Figure AI, and Boston Dynamics under Hyundai."
China may be developing the fastest in this industry as the Chinese government has prioritized embodied artificial intelligence as a strategic focus. Robert stated that China currently has around 150 companies in the humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation sector, with most companies still focusing on consumer applications, while only a few target industrial applications. These technologies are rapidly moving towards large-scale applications. Xiaomi has begun trial operations of its humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation in its factories, aiming for large-scale deployment within five years. UBTECH ROBOTICS, headquartered in Shenzhen, is another manufacturer dedicated to pushing Siasun Robot & Automation into the industrial field.
As competition in the field of humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation is expected to show regional differentiation, suppliers like Schaeffler are maintaining an open mindset. In addition to investing in the German company Neura, Schaeffler has signed cooperation agreements with several companies, including Chinese Lujia Siasun Robot & Automation and US Agility Robotics.
Rosenfeld said, "For me, the question is not about gradually increasing production, but what the curve of production increase will look like."
