On March 27th, Hong Kong dollar interest rates rose across the board, with the one-month interbank rate related to building rising for the third consecutive day to 2.44786%, an increase of 3.47 basis points.
On March 27th, Hong Kong Dollar Interbank Offered Rates saw a general increase, with the one-month HIBOR related to mortgages rising for three consecutive days to 2.44786%, an increase of 3.47 basis points. The three-month HIBOR, reflecting the cost of bank funds, rose to 2.53119%, an increase of 1.44 basis points. The overnight rate rose to 2.57607%, an increase of 20.738 basis points; the one-week HIBOR rose by 5.405 basis points to 2.59786%, while the two-week rate rose by 7.892 basis points to 2.59571%. In terms of longer-term rates, the six-month HIBOR rose by 8.417 basis points to 2.82155%, while the one-year rate rose by 4.607 basis points to 3.18006%.
