YOFC (06869) rose over 8% this morning, and as of press time, it rose 4.59% to 152.6 Hong Kong dollars, with a turnover of 1.58 billion Hong Kong dollars. On the news front, according to C114 Communications Network, China Telecom Corporation's Heilongjiang Telecom Branch recently issued a tender notice for the emergency procurement of outdoor optical cables for 2026. The unit price for the "GYTA-single-mode G.652D-24 core" optical cable in this project has a maximum price limit of 3737.43 yuan per kilometer, and industry experts estimate that the unit price of G.652D fiber has exceeded 100 yuan per core kilometer. In January, Guangdong Telecom set the highest limit price of 1245 yuan per kilometer for the "GYTA-single-mode G.652D-24 core" optical cable in the project joint procurement. After the joint procurement failed, the procurement was restarted in March, with the price increased to 2500 yuan per kilometer, a price increase of over 100%. Galaxy Securities previously pointed out that the demand for fiber optic cables in the industry has significantly increased, and industry prices have been greatly adjusted. There have been consecutive occurrences of joint procurement bids failing and price increases by operators. Some product bid limits have even risen by 100% within two months. The increase in tender prices reflects the general market situation of significant price increases for fiber optic cables. Furthermore, this tender is for emergency procurement projects, which are more short-term in nature. Combined with the previous suspension of tenders due to project changes, it may indicate that the shortage of fiber optic cables is becoming more common.
