On March 20th, TrendForce released the panel price trends for March 2026: in March, the prices of TV and monitor panels have increased, while laptop panel prices have stopped falling. Specifically: TV Panels As we enter March, brands continue to prepare for the upcoming promotional periods after the second quarter, including the World Cup, China's 618 promotion, and North America's Prime Day, so the demand for TV panels remains stable. Brands are also increasing their willingness to stock up early due to the rising costs of storage and various components. It is expected that panel manufacturers will seize the opportunity of stable demand and continue the trend of increasing prices of TV panels. The estimated price trend for TV panels in March is as follows: an increase of $1 for 32-inch, 43-inch, and 50-inch panels, an increase of $2 for 55-inch panels, and an increase of $3 for 65-inch and 75-inch panels. Monitor Panels The demand for LCD monitor panels remains stable in March. While the production end of most specifications of monitors is not directly affected by the rising prices and shortages of memory, various raw materials and components have recently followed suit, reflecting the pressure of rising costs. Panel manufacturers are facing increased cost pressures and are also looking to actively reflect this in the price hikes. There are signs of a slight broadening of the upward trend in prices of monitor panels in March. For Open Cell panels, the 23.8-inch FHD IPS is expected to increase by $0.3 to $0.4, and the 27-inch FHD IPS is expected to increase by $0.3. For panel modules, the 23.8-inch FHD IPS is expected to increase by $0.3 and the 27-inch FHD IPS is expected to increase by $0.1 to $0.2. Laptop Panels Laptop (NB) panels maintained their original demand momentum in March, but with the sharp rise in memory costs, as well as factors such as recent CPU shortages and cost increases, it is estimated that entering the second quarter, if the supply of components cannot meet demand, there could be an adjustment in panel demand. In addition, panel manufacturers are starting to feel the pressure of rising costs of various components upstream, rapidly squeezing their profit margins. Panel manufacturers have become more firm in their stance on holding panel prices, and it is currently estimated that laptop panel prices in March will remain stable overall.
