On March 21st, the National Energy Administration released data on the national electric vehicle charging facilities in February 2026. According to the data from the National Charging Infrastructure Monitoring Service Platform, as of the end of February 2026, the total number of electric vehicle charging infrastructure (guns) in China reached 21.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 47.8%. Among them, there were 4.834 million public charging facilities (guns), a year-on-year increase of 28.8%, with a total rated power of 229 million kilowatts and an average power of about 47.41 kilowatts; there were 16.176 million private charging facilities (guns), a year-on-year increase of 54.6%, with an installed electricity capacity of 1.41 billion kilovolt-amperes.
