In the most intense N-type Topcon component bidding, many well-known enterprises such as Longi, Trina Solar, Xinfin, and Zhonghuan New Energy (01735) 's Zhonghuan Low Carbon (Anhui) New Energy Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. successfully entered the final round.
On March 18th, Power Construction Corporation of China, Ltd (POWERCHINA) officially announced the list of candidate suppliers selected for the 2026 photovoltaic component framework centralized procurement project. According to the announcement, this procurement covers three major packages of N-type TOPCon, HJT, and BC components, with a total capacity of up to 31GW. In this procurement, leading enterprises and emerging forces competed on the same stage, with bids for each section highly concentrated. In the most competitive package one (N-type Topcon components) bidding, several well-known companies such as Longi, Trina Solar, Xinhei, and Central New Egy (01735) subsidiary Zhonghuan Low Carbon (Anhui) New Energy Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd successfully made it to the list. Looking at the bidding prices, leading enterprises quoted prices ranging from 0.735 yuan/W to 0.748 yuan/W, showing a clear trend of price convergence. Of note, among the list of selected suppliers in package one, Central New Egy, as an emerging force in the industry, bid a total price of 1.764 billion yuan, which is in line with many first-line companies such as Zhonghuan, Xinhei, and Risen Energy, without resorting to a low-price strategy to secure qualification. Now, the photovoltaic industry has entered a new competition stage of "competing on strength with stable prices." In the current market environment, a company's technological research and development capabilities, product performance, and capacity delivery assurance have become the core factors determining qualification. Against the backdrop of profit pressure facing the entire industry chain, Central New Egy's willingness to bid a price on par with top-tier companies in the central government's procurement process reflects its confidence in its own manufacturing costs, product quality, and long-term reliability. It also provides valuable reference for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the current photovoltaic industry. The announcement period for this selection result is from March 18th to March 21st. Power Construction Corporation of China, Ltd (POWERCHINA) and its subsidiaries will determine the final transaction unit from the selected suppliers through a second bidding or negotiation after the project is finalized. The 31GW super order will not only depend on prices but also on the comprehensive evaluation of the company's supply chain capability, quality control, and long-term performance credit.
