On Tuesday, CSI Solar Co., Ltd. CECEP Solar Energy (CSIQ.US) rose by 5% to $18.95. In terms of news, on March 17th, CSI Solar Co., Ltd. announced that its energy storage solutions subsidiary, CSI Solar Co., Ltd. e-STORAGE, has signed a supply agreement with a large overseas utility company to provide a battery energy storage system for a 500MW/2493MWh (DC, direct current) energy storage project. This project will be used to support the growing power demand of data centers and enhance the resilience and reliability of the regional grid. Under the agreement, CSI Solar Co., Ltd. e-STORAGE will provide around 500 units of the SolBank 3.0 energy storage systems for the project. The battery cells used in these energy storage systems are developed and produced by CSI Solar Co., Ltd. themselves. Equipment shipments are expected to begin in March 2027 and be completed by July of the same year.
