According to reports, the life science artificial intelligence (AI) big model company BioMap has secretly submitted an application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for an IPO, planning to raise billions of dollars. The report points out that BioMap is cooperating with CICC, Morgan Stanley, and UBS Group to prepare for the IPO. However, discussions are still ongoing, and details such as the fundraising scale and the timetable for listing are still uncertain.
BioMap was co-founded by Baidu co-founder and CEO Robin Li and former Baidu Ventures CEO Liu Wei in 2020. Liu Wei, the current CEO of BioMap, stated in May of last year that the company plans to seek a listing in Hong Kong within the next year and a half.
Data shows that BioMap, as a pioneer in global life science basic big models, decodes the underlying rules of genomics, proteins, cells, biological systems, etc. through a cross-modal biological language big model with 210 billion parameters. With smaller data and cost consumption, it constructs high-quality life science AI task models.
