SUCCESSUNIVERSE (00487) announced that the group is expected to incur a significant unaudited comprehensive loss for the year ending December 31, 2025, ranging from approximately HK$370 million to HK$410 million, compared to a audited comprehensive profit of around HK$93 million in the same period last year. The group's unaudited comprehensive loss for the year ending December 31, 2025 is primarily due to the following factors: (a) the closure of Ponte 16 Resort (details of the closure disclosed in the company's voluntary announcement dated November 20, 2025), the group recognized significant impairment losses on the carrying value of equity interests in an associated company related to Ponte 16 (the associated company), and incurred losses attributable to the associated company due to the disposal of substantial monetary assets, resulting in a profit attributable to the associated company of around HK$112 million in the same period last year; and (b) a significant decrease in fair value gains on overseas listed equity securities of the group for the year ending December 31, 2025.
