On the news front, on March 9, WeRide signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Geely Farther Auto to deepen cooperation, and unveiled the all-new upgraded mass-produced Robotaxi GXR, announcing the expected delivery of 2,000 units of Robotaxi GXR by 2026, to be deployed in domestic and overseas markets, taking a comprehensive step towards a new stage of global commercial operation of Robotaxi. The upgraded mass-produced Robotaxi GXR is scheduled to officially launch in the third quarter of 2026. This mass delivery plan marks a significant acceleration in the commercialization process of WeRide's Robotaxi. It is reported that, relying on Geely's advanced line control AI chassis, a complete supply chain, and production control system, Robotaxi GXR will also undergo a qualitative leap in manufacturing, with the off-line cycle per vehicle shortened from 1 hour to less than 10 minutes. At the same time, WeRide continues to drive cost revolution in the Robotaxi industry, and the overall vehicle cost of the all-new upgraded Robotaxi GXR is expected to further reduce by 15%.
