Tianjin Bohai Chemical (600800.SH) subsidiary PDH unit routine shutdown maintenance postponed.
Bohai Chemical (600800.SH) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tianjin Bohai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Bohai Petrochemical), has postponed the shutdown maintenance of its PDH unit (600,000 tons/year) due to the demand for the new acrylic ester and superabsorbent resin new material project in the plant area. The PDH unit of Bohai Petrochemical needs to conduct equipment and public works commissioning and testing with the acrylic ester and superabsorbent resin new material project to ensure stable production operation of the unit. It is expected that the PDH unit will resume production at the end of February 2026.
Tianjin Bohai Chemical (600800.SH) issued an announcement that its fully-owned subsidiary, Tianjin Bohai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as Bohai Petrochemical), will need to conduct equipment and public engineering coordination and testing with the new acrylic ester and high water-absorbing resin new material projects on its PDH unit (600,000 tons/year) due to the demand from the new projects. In order to ensure the stable operation of the unit, the PDH unit will need to extend the shutdown maintenance period. It is expected that the PDH unit will resume production at the end of February 2026.
Due to the recent military conflicts between the United States and Israel in the Iran region, there have been serious impacts on the sustainability of raw material supply. In order to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of the subsequent production units, the company has decided to extend the planned shutdown maintenance period for the PDH unit accordingly.
