Data from the Spring Festival Transport work special team of comprehensive transport shows that on February 19, 2026 (the 18th day of the Spring Festival, the third day of the first lunar month, Thursday), the total inter-regional population flow was 339.41 million, an increase of 5.1% compared to the previous period, and an increase of 11.6% compared to the same period in 2025 (which was a Friday). Among them, railway passenger volume was 13.39 million, an increase of 25.4% compared to the previous period, and an increase of 14.4% compared to the same period in 2025. The population flow on roads (including non-operational small passenger car trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads, and operational passenger transport on roads) was 321.52 million, an increase of 4.3% compared to the previous period, and an increase of 11.5% compared to the same period in 2025. Among them, operational passenger transport on roads was 25.51 million, an increase of 21.6% compared to the previous period, and an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period in 2025; the number of non-operational small passenger car trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads was 296.01 million, an increase of 3.1% compared to the previous period, and an increase of 12.0% compared to the same period in 2025. Waterway passenger volume was 1.82 million, an increase of 16.9% compared to the previous period, and an increase of 27.9% compared to the same period in 2025.
