On Monday local time (February 16), Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) announced that the company will hold an offline event on March 4. According to invitations received from multiple media outlets, Apple Inc. wrote "You are cordially invited to attend the Apple Experience event in Shanghai" and the time is "10:00 PM on March 4, 2026 China Standard Time." Aside from Shanghai, Apple Inc. also invited media to attend offline "experience" events in New York and London. The New York event is scheduled at "9:00 AM on March 4, 2026 Eastern Time (ET)" - meaning the events will be synchronized. The invitation features Apple Inc.'s 3D logo, and the company did not reveal any clues about product design, nor did it provide any live broadcast information. During the event, Apple Inc. may play a pre-recorded launch video as usual, and hardware experiences will be open to the media at all three locations. Analysts pointed out that Apple Inc. typically livestreams new product launches as it is an important marketing opportunity. It is believed that the scale of this experience event may be relatively low-key, unlike the large-scale events held at Apple Inc.'s headquarters in Cupertino in the past. Last week, reports from Finance Network mentioned that well-known leaker Mark Gurman stated that in the coming weeks, Apple Inc. will introduce a series of new products including the iPhone 17e, an upgraded iPad, and a brand new Mac. Currently, Apple Inc. is likely to launch these new products in stages over several days, as in previous launches. According to technology leaker Jon Prosser, upgrades for the iPhone 17e may include a "Lively Island" design, the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17, and the addition of MagSafe magnetic charging. In addition to the 17e, the base model iPad and iPad Air will also receive upgrades in the near future, but apart from chip iterations, there are hardly any new changes. Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Gurman mentioned that the "real show" may include the first foldable iPhone, the iPhone 18 Pro series, and a MacBook Pro equipped with OLED screens and touch functionality.
