Ministry of Foreign Affairs: From February 17th, visa-free policy will be implemented for ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom.
To further facilitate the travel of Chinese and foreign nationals, China has decided to implement a visa-free policy for holders of ordinary passports from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from February 17, 2026. Holders of ordinary passports from both countries can come to China for business, tourism, visiting family and friends, exchanges and visits, or transit for up to 30 days without needing to apply for a visa for entry.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in order to further facilitate the travel of Chinese and foreign nationals, China has decided to implement a visa-free policy for holders of ordinary passports from Canada and the UK starting from February 17, 2026. Holders of ordinary passports from both countries can enter China for business, tourism, visiting relatives, exchanges, and transit for up to 30 days without a visa. This visa-free policy will be in effect until December 31, 2026.
