TV Broadcasting (00511) announced that the group expects to achieve EBITDA exceeding HK$3.5 billion for the fiscal year 2025, compared to HK$2.95 billion in the fiscal year 2024; and anticipates that the company's attributable profit to shareholders will exceed HK$50 million for the current year, compared to an attributable loss of HK$491 million in the fiscal year 2024. Therefore, the group expects to achieve earnings per share of at least HK$0.11 for the fiscal year 2025, while it was a loss of HK$1.09 per share in the fiscal year 2024.
TVB (00511) announced that the group expects to achieve an EBITDA of over HK$350 million in the 2025 fiscal year, compared to HK$295 million in the 2024 fiscal year; and it is expected to achieve a net profit attributable to shareholders of over HK$50 million for this year, compared to a net loss attributable to shareholders of HK$491 million in the 2024 fiscal year. Therefore, the group is expected to achieve earnings per share of at least HK$0.11 in the 2025 fiscal year, compared to a loss per share of HK$1.09 in the 2024 fiscal year.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the group continued to maintain a leading position in the viewership ratings of free-to-air television channels in Hong Kong, with a total market share of 81% for the flagship channels of Jade Channel, 24-hour TVB News Channel, and other channels.
Benefiting from the highly anticipated premiere of the drama "News Queen 2" in November 2025, which was supported by advertisements and sponsorships, the group's advertising revenue on free-to-air channels in Hong Kong continued to show year-on-year growth during this quarter. As a result, the group's annual advertising revenue for 2025 saw a double-digit percentage increase compared to 2024.
At the same time, the group's digital media business saw strong double-digit percentage growth in digital advertising revenue in this quarter, as customers purchased more myTV SUPER streaming services and other digital advertising packages. During this quarter, the average monthly active viewers for all service tiers of myTV SUPER streaming services remained around 1.9 million, and the group's other digital assets (including social media accounts and mobile applications) continued to show strong double-digit percentage growth in tracking and subscription numbers.
