On February 10th, ByteDance's image generation model Seedream 5.0 Preview was launched on the Byte video editing application Capcut, Byte AI creative platform Xiao Yunque, and entered the grayscale testing phase on the Jimo AI platform, where users can experience image generation for a limited time for free. The images produced by Seedream 5.0 support 2K and 4K resolution output, with 2K being the direct output of the image generation and 4K being the resolution enhanced by AI. According to the official website of Capcut, the upgrade points of the new model 5.0 include supporting the first time retrieval of generated images, enhancing the accuracy of understanding prompting keywords, supporting the generation of images with more detailed and delicate textures, and allowing users to precisely adjust the images. It is reported that Seedream 5.0 is comparable to Nano Banana Pro, but cheaper, and currently all users can use it for free up to 20 times. This new model focuses on practical functions such as image retrieval, upgraded understanding of prompting keywords, precise adjustment, and 4K enhancement, possibly aiming to be closer to the actual needs of users through iteration. However, compared to the same series Seedance 2.0, it lacks a breakthrough in testing.
