On the news front, after experiencing a sharp drop in the cryptocurrency market on Thursday, Bitcoin saw its largest single-day rebound in nearly three years on Friday, rising by about 13% at one point. It rebounded from around $60,000 overnight to above $70,000, almost recovering all the losses from the previous day. As of the time of writing, Bitcoin rose to $70,263.4, up 1.28% in the past 24 hours. TD Cowen remains relatively optimistic about the medium-term trend. Vitanza pointed out that the benchmark scenario for the institution is that this recent crash will ultimately open up space for Bitcoin to hit new highs, with the timing possibly in the third quarter.
