The Chairman of Taiwan's electronic manufacturing company Wistron, Lin Xianming, stated on Friday that artificial intelligence (AI) is not a bubble, and he expects the growth rate of the company's AI-related orders to exceed last year's by 2026. The company is also a supplier for NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US). Lin Xianming told reporters in Taipei, "We believe that AI can indeed empower all industries, so it is not a bubble, but the beginning of a new era, a brand new AI era is coming." He also added that Wistron's order situation is good, with orders already booked up to 2027, and this year's order volume is expected to see a "significant" increase compared to last year. The company had previously stated that its new US production base for NVIDIA Corporation will start production in 2026 and is currently in talks with other potential customers. Wistron CEO Lin Jianxun revealed that the US manufacturing base will officially start production in the first half of 2026. Some of the production capacity will be used to support NVIDIA Corporation's plan to build a $50 billion AI server production line in the US over the next four years. In April last year, NVIDIA Corporation announced plans to build a supercomputer manufacturing base in Texas, with the Houston project in partnership with Foxconn and the Dallas project advancing in collaboration with Wistron.
