In 2025, the total non-gaming expenditure of tourists in Macau for the whole year reached MOP 801.2 billion, an increase of 6.3% year-on-year.

According to data from the Statistics and Census Service of Macao, the total non-gaming expenditure by tourists in the fourth quarter of 2025 increased by 14.2% year-on-year to 21.87 billion Macao Patacas. This was mainly driven by an 85.9% increase in non-overnight tourist expenditure (5.34 billion MOP), while expenditure by overnight tourists (16.54 billion MOP) also rose by 1.6%.
Data from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macau showed that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the total non-gaming expenditure of tourists increased by 14.2% year-on-year to 21.87 billion Macau dollars. This was mainly driven by the 85.9% increase in the total expenditure of non-overnight tourists (5.34 billion dollars), while the expenditure of overnight tourists (16.54 billion dollars) also increased by 1.6%. The average non-gaming expenditure per tourist in the fourth quarter (2,104 dollars) decreased by 1.0% year-on-year, but increased by 7.9% quarterly. In terms of consumption patterns, tourist spending was mainly on shopping (45.4%), followed by accommodation (25.0%) and dining (20.6%). In terms of the main purposes of visiting Macau, the average expenditure per exhibition tourist in the fourth quarter was relatively high at 4,821 dollars. The total non-gaming expenditure by tourists for the whole year of 2025 (80.12 billion dollars) increased by 6.3% year-on-year, with the expenditure of overnight (63.31 billion dollars) and non-overnight tourists (16.81 billion dollars) increasing by 1.6% and 28.9% respectively. The average non-gaming expenditure per tourist (2,000 dollars) saw a 7.3% year-on-year decrease. In terms of main source markets, the average expenditure per tourist from Mainland China (2,245 dollars), Hong Kong SAR (988 dollars), and international tourists (2,064 dollars) decreased by 10.3%, 2.1%, and 3.5% respectively, while the average expenditure per tourist from Taiwan Province of China (2,083 dollars) recorded a 6.7% increase. In terms of the main purposes of visiting Macau, the average expenditure per exhibition tourist for the whole year remained relatively high at 4,572 dollars.
