In 2025, the total number of inbound tourists who traveled with guided tours in Macau was 1.92 million, a decrease of 9.7% compared to the previous year.

On January 30th, data from the Macao Statistics and Census Bureau showed that in the year 2025, the average occupancy rate of hotel rooms for the whole year increased by 3.1 percentage points to 89.4%, with an increase of 1.0% in the number of guests to 14.56 million. The number of group inbound tourists for the whole year of 2025 was 1.912 million, a decrease of 9.7% compared to the previous year. Due to the fact that more mainland Chinese tourists enter individually, the number of mainland Chinese group tourists decreased by 15.7% to 1.588 million, while the number of international group tourists increased by 17.2% to 240,000. At the end of 2025, there were a total of 147 hotels providing accommodation services to the public, an increase of 1 hotel compared to the previous year, with the number of rooms increasing by 4.9% to 45,000. The average occupancy rate of hotel rooms for the whole year of 2025 increased by 3.1 percentage points to 89.4%, with the occupancy rates of five-star (92.9%), four-star (83.8%), and three-star (85.0%) hotels increasing by 4.4, 1.8, and 1.2 percentage points respectively. The number of guests staying in hotel establishments for the whole year of 2025 increased by 1.0% to 14.56 million; mainland Chinese guests (10.735 million) increased by 1.4%, while international guests (1.238 million) increased by 11.8%, with guests from South Korea (350,000), Japan (102,000), Malaysia (93,000), and Thailand (88,000) increasing by 9.3%, 25.5%, 6.5%, and 33.4% respectively; guests from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (1.774 million) decreased by 4.1%. The average length of stay for guests remained at 1.7 nights. In terms of a single month, in December 2025, the average occupancy rate of hotel rooms increased by 1.2 percentage points to 90.4%, with an increase of 5.8% in the number of guests to 1.252 million, and the average length of stay increased by 0.1 night to 1.7 nights. On the other hand, in December 2025, the total number of group inbound tourists decreased by 11.9% to 181,000, with an increase of 26.4% in the number of international group tourists to 28,000.
