Macao Monetary Authority: Preliminary statistics show that the total foreign exchange reserve assets at the end of December 2025 amounted to 245.6 billion Macao patacas, an increase of 2.0% compared to the previous period.
By the end of December 2025, the total foreign exchange reserves amount to approximately 11 times the circulating currency in Macau as of the end of November 2025, or 91.8% of the Macanese yuan portion in the broad money supply (M2).
Recently, the Monetary Authority of Macao announced that the total foreign exchange reserves of the Macao Special Administrative Region as of the end of December 2025 were preliminarily calculated to be MOP 245.6 billion (USD 30.64 billion), up 2.0% from the revised total of MOP 240.8 billion (USD 30.05 billion) in November 2025. The total foreign exchange reserves at the end of December 2025 were approximately equivalent to 11 times the Macao circulating currency at the end of November 2025, or 91.8% of the Macau-specific portion of the broad money supply (M2) in November 2025.
