Local time on Wednesday, Alphabet Inc. Class C (GOOGL.US) announced a further upgrade to its artificial intelligence (AI) tool Gemini, integrating it fully into Alphabet Inc. Class C user applications such as YouTube and Gmail. The company stated in a blog post that the feature called "Personal Intelligence" is aimed at making Gemini more "personalized," allowing it to provide users with "customized practical services." The company added, "With a simple tap, users can access Gmail, photos, YouTube, and search functions, and we have designed the setup process of the feature to be simple and secure." Alphabet Inc. Class C CEO Sundar Pichai posted on the social platform X, saying, "The Personal Intelligence feature integrates two core advantages: the ability to infer across complex information sources and precise information retrieval capabilities for scenarios such as emails and photos, providing users with highly customized answers. The core of this feature lies in privacy protection, as users can choose which apps to access and all app connections are by default turned off." Currently, the "Personal Intelligence" feature is being tested for Alphabet Inc. Class C AI Pro and AI Ultra paid subscribers in the United States, and is available for use on web, Android, and iOS systems. By enabling Gemini to interact with more services from Alphabet Inc. Class C, it gains a competitive advantage over OpenAI's ChatGPT. Recently, OpenAI has taken several actions to enhance the usage and functionality of ChatGPT, including the launch of a new ChatGPT Health service. It is worth mentioning that earlier this week, Alphabet Inc. Class C and Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) jointly announced a partnership: Gemini will provide technical support for the upcoming new version of Siri by Apple Inc. Both tech giants revealed that this collaboration will also create a series of new service experiences for users.
