In terms of news, CES 2026 NVIDIA released the Rubin architecture. As a key milestone in NVIDIA's data center hardware roadmap, the Rubin platform is not a single GPU product, but a full-stack solution integrating CPU, GPU, DPU, NIC, NVLink interconnect, and Ethernet switching. Its core goal is to significantly improve AI performance and efficiency: AI inference performance is 5 times higher than the previous generation, and training performance is 3.5 times higher. Shanxi released a research report stating that Rubin Ultra is expected to become an important milestone in the industrialization of Scaleup CPO on a large scale, and Trainium4 and TPUv8 in 2027/28 are also expected to become important drivers of CPO/NPO. The important investment aspects of CPO include the high-density plug cores and large amounts of optical fibers brought by shufflebox & multi-section optical fiber wiring, the use of advanced packaging OE, and a large number of customized FAUs.
