According to data from the Ministry of Transport, on January 1, 2026, the total cross-regional passenger flow in the whole society was 207.475 million person-times, a decrease of 0.1% from the previous period and an increase of 20.3% year-on-year. Among them, the railway passenger volume was 18.56 million person-times, an increase of 11.3% from the previous period and an increase of 67.9% year-on-year.
The total personnel flow on the roads (including non-operating small passenger car travel on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads, and operating passenger transport on roads) was 186.28 million person-times, a decrease of 1.1% from the previous period and an increase of 17.5% year-on-year. Among them, the operating passenger volume on roads was 34.16 million person-times, a decrease of 5.2% from the previous period and an increase of 22.4% year-on-year; the non-operating small passenger car travel on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads was 152.12 million person-times, a decrease of 0.1% from the previous period and an increase of 16.4% year-on-year.
The waterway passenger volume was 684,000 person-times, an increase of 9.2% from the previous period and an increase of 2.9% year-on-year.
The civil aviation passenger volume was 1.951 million person-times, an increase of 11.2% from the previous period and a decrease of 10.3% year-on-year.
