Another focus of MTR's future is to work on the 6 confirmed new railway projects in areas such as Lantau Island, Tuen Mun, and North District, without including the second part of the North Loop Line. The investment amount for these projects has reached 140 billion Hong Kong dollars, and project and financial management will be her main focus. It is hoped that these projects will be completed one by one, with over 20 new stations expected to be built between 2027 and 2034.
On January 2, the new CEO of MTR Corporation (00066), Ms. Yang Meizhen, pointed out that another key focus for MTR in the future is to carry out 6 newly confirmed railway projects in areas such as Lantau Island, Tuen Mun, and North District, excluding the second phase of the Northern Link. The investment in these projects has already reached HK$140 billion, with project and financial management being her main priorities. She looks forward to the completion of these projects one by one, with over 20 new stations expected to be completed between 2027 and 2034.
