The Macao Public Security Police Force stated that on January 1, 2026 (New Year's Day), a total of 866,000 entries and exits were recorded throughout the day, breaking the record for the highest single-day total number of entries and exits in Macao. Among them, residents of Macao accounted for 33%, tourists for 49.6%, and non-resident workers for 16.2%.
