On December 31, 2025, the total number of inter-regional population movements in the whole society was 207.763 million, an increase of 33.7% month-on-month and 25.4% year-on-year.
Data from the Ministry of Transport shows that by December 31, 2025, the total inter-regional population flow in society was 207.763 million person-times, an increase of 33.7% compared with the previous month and 25.4% compared with the same period last year. Among them, railway passenger traffic was 16.682 million person-times, an increase of 65.4% month-on-month and 60% year-on-year.
The total number of personnel flow on highways (including non-operational small passenger car trips on expressways and ordinary national and provincial roads, and highway operational passenger traffic) was 188.28 million person-times, up 30.7% month-on-month and 22.8% year-on-year. Among them, highway operational passenger traffic was 36.05 million person-times, up 26.1% month-on-month and 30% year-on-year; non-operational small passenger car trips on expressways and ordinary national and provincial roads were 152.23 million person-times, up 31.9% month-on-month and 21.3% year-on-year.
Waterway passenger traffic was 0.626 million person-times, an increase of 11% compared to the previous month and 32.3% year-on-year.
Civil aviation passenger traffic was 2.175 million person-times, an increase of 4.2% compared to the previous month and 21.2% year-on-year.
