The first national standard for solid-state batteries is seeking opinions, and institutions are conducting research on the list of stock names.
Media reporters learned from the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee that on December 30th, the first national standard for solid-state batteries - "Part 1: Terminology and Classification of Solid-State Batteries for Electric Vehicles" was publicly soliciting opinions.
The draft for soliciting opinions clearly defines the relevant terminology, classification, coding, and other basic content of solid-state batteries, marking the beginning of the industrialization of solid-state battery technology.
According to incomplete statistics from the GGII Industrial Research Institute, by 2025, there will be over 282 publicly announced investment projects in the entire lithium battery industry chain in China (including lithium batteries and major materials, solid-state batteries, sodium batteries), with a total investment exceeding 820 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of over 74%.
With the rapid development of solid-state battery technology, concept stocks have attracted attention from institutions. Statistics show that since the fourth quarter, a total of 22 concept A-shares have been investigated by institutions, with 16 stocks having inquiries from 10 or more institutions.
Recently, media reporters learned from relevant persons at the National Social Security Fund Council that the National Social Security Fund Council has conducted research and visits to several solid-state battery companies.
According to CMSC research report, in the traditional lithium battery sector, the explosion of energy storage demand has accelerated battery production expansion.
In the field of solid-state batteries, the industrialization of solid-state batteries is continuing, and currently, the solid-solid interface issue is the core technical difficulty in new technology production processes.
By 2025, up and down the industry chain will propose various solutions to the solid-solid interface issue in materials and manufacturing, include introducing iodide ions into electrolytes, continuous iteration of equal pressure equipment, and ALD technology to achieve interface modification, etc. With the maturing of processes and continuous cost reductions, the mass production process of solid-state batteries is expected to accelerate.
Solid-state batteries are currently in a critical phase from the laboratory and small-scale trials to medium-scale trials and deliveries.
Recently, leading manufacturers have undergone solid-state inspections, and if progress goes smoothly, they may usher in a second wave of subsidies. It is expected that by the end of 2025 or early 2026, they may start inviting bids for medium-scale trial line equipment, and subsequent catalytic actions, such as trial line testing, vehicle loading and debugging, mass production line bidding, etc., will continue, favoring the equipment sector.
According to estimates, the total market space for solid-state battery equipment is expected to reach 59.216 billion yuan by 2030, and the CAGR from 2024 to 2030 is expected to reach 103%.

Guangzhou Automobile Group (02238): On November 21, Feng Xingya, Chairman of Guangzhou Automobile Group, announced at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show that the pilot production line for solid-state batteries built by Guangzhou Automobile Group in Panyu, Guangzhou, has recently been officially completed and put into operation. The production line has successfully connected the entire production process of solid-state batteries and is the first in the industry to have the conditions for mass production of vehicle-grade solid-state batteries above 60Ah. Morgan Stanley believes that Guangzhou Automobile Group has three positive developments, including the latest statement from management that they will mass-produce models equipped with full solid-state batteries in 2026; a substantial increase in information disclosure concerning the brand Qi Jun, which cooperates with Huawei; and announcing marketing cooperation with JD.com.
Contemporary Amperex Technology (03750): In an interactive platform, the company stated that it continues to firmly invest in full solid-state batteries, and its technology is at the forefront of the industry, with the prospect of achieving small-scale production in 2027.
