According to calculations, in 2024, the value added of the national cultural and related industries was 6.2094 trillion yuan, accounting for 4.61% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), an increase of 0.02 percentage points from the previous year.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics on December 30th, the value added of China's cultural and related industries in 2024 was 62,094 billion yuan, accounting for 4.61% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), an increase of 0.02 percentage points from the previous year. By industry, in 2024, the value added of cultural services was 43,256 billion yuan, accounting for 69.7% of the cultural and related industries, an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the previous year; the value added of cultural manufacturing was 12,607 billion yuan, accounting for 20.3%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the previous year; the value added of cultural wholesale and retail was 6,231 billion yuan, accounting for 10.0%, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points from the previous year. By domain, in 2024, the value added of cultural core domains was 44,238 billion yuan, accounting for 71.2% of the cultural and related industries; the value added of cultural related domains was 17,856 billion yuan, accounting for 28.8%.
