Tangshan Sunfar Silicon Industries (603938.SH) announced that the company has recently achieved a production and filling capacity of 8,000 tons/year of high-purity ethyl silicate. This includes the expansion of a special production line for "annual output of 8,000 tons of high-purity ethyl silicate" by its holding subsidiary Tangshan Sanfu New Materials Co., Ltd. ("Sanfu New Materials"), which has been completed and put into operation; and the construction of the "ethyl silicate filling and storage project" by its wholly-owned subsidiary Tangshan Sanfu Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. ("Sanfu Electronic Materials"), which has been completed recently and passed the acceptance inspection, obtaining relevant approval and permits. The announcement stated that the high-purity ethyl silicate product uses the company's electronic grade silicon tetrachloride as raw material, which is produced by Sanfu New Materials and then transported through pipelines to Sanfu Electronic Materials for filling and storage. Currently, the product has been successfully delivered to major domestic customers and samples have been sent to international customers. The product quality meets customer requirements and provides an alternative to imports. It is reported that this product is the raw material for electronic grade ethyl silicate, and is also used in the fields of silicon carbide, high-purity synthetic quartz, and others. Electronic grade ethyl silicate is a semiconductor silicon-based precursor material mainly used for memory chips, logic chips, etc. The high-purity ethyl silicate has certain synergy with Sanfu Electronic Materials' existing downstream electronic special gas products, and by using Sanfu Electronic Materials' mature electronic grade product management system, it is beneficial for better serving downstream customers.
