On the news front, last week, silver prices saw an epic surge, with COMEX silver futures skyrocketing over 11% on Friday, spot silver rising over 10%, hitting a new historical high, and a cumulative increase of 175% for the year, far surpassing gold's rapid rise. However, this morning, spot silver soared to a high of $84 before falling, and as of the time of publication, the decline has narrowed, with a report of $78.78 per ounce. Dongguan Securities pointed out that the rise in silver prices is mainly due to the return of its financial properties and the explosion of industrial demand, combined with factors such as the faster mean reversion of the gold-silver ratio, pushing silver prices rapidly higher. In the short term, one should be wary of risks such as profit-taking.
