In terms of news, the U.S. car safety regulatory agency has announced an investigation into defects in Tesla, Inc.'s Model 3, due to concerns that the emergency door opening device in the vehicles is not easily accessible in emergency situations and the labeling is unclear.
The Defect Investigation Office of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated that the investigation involves approximately 179,071 units of the 2022 model. The investigation was officially launched on December 23rd after the regulatory agency received a defect complaint, which pointed out that the mechanical door opening device of the vehicles in question is not only concealed in design, with unclear labeling, but also difficult to locate and operate quickly in emergency situations.
