China Aluminum International Engineering Corporation (02068) announced that on November 27, 2025, its subsidiary, Shenyang Aluminum Magnesium Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shenyang Institute), together with China Nonferrous Metal Industrys Sixth Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, hereinafter referred to as Sixth Metallurgy), Seventh Metallurgical Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Seventh Metallurgy), Yunnan Investment Machinery Manufacturing and Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yunnan Investment Machinery), and Minmetals 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 23rd Metallurgy), formed a consortium and won the bid for the "large for small" upgrade and renovation project of the electrolytic cell in Qingtongxia. Recently, the consortium composed of Shenyang Institute, Sixth Metallurgy, Seventh Metallurgy, Yunnan Investment Machinery, and 23rd Metallurgy signed the "EPC Engineering General Contract for the 'Large for Small' Upgrade and Renovation Project of the Qingtongxia Electrolytic Cell" with Qingtongxia Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. The scope of the project includes the design capacity of the Qingtongxia electrolytic cell upgrade and renovation project of 420,000 tons. The main construction contents include power supply rectification systems, electrolytic production areas, raw material storage and transportation, anode assembly production areas, electrolytic flue gas purification, and necessary auxiliary system engineering and living welfare facilities. The project will be carried out through the EPC engineering general contracting method, from project design (including preliminary design) to full operation. It aims to achieve high-level production acceptance, engineering commendation acceptance, meet the specified performance guarantee indicators, and complete the warranty period to build a complete 420,000-ton electrolytic aluminum project. The contract signed this time is a routine business contract, and there is no related relationship between the company and the contractor. The total amount of the project contract is 2.909 billion yuan, with the contract amount implemented by the company's subsidiary Shenyang Institute and wholly-owned subsidiary Sixth Metallurgy accounting for approximately 2.348 billion yuan. This accounts for approximately 9.78% of the company's audited operating income for the year 2024. If the project contract is successfully implemented, it will have a positive impact on the company's current and future performance, and will help enhance the company's sustainable profitability.
