On December 24, the National Energy Administration released data on total electricity consumption for November. In November, total electricity consumption was 835.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year. Looking at electricity consumption by sector, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 11.3 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.9% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 565.4 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 4.4% year-on-year, with industrial electricity consumption increasing by 4.6% year-on-year and electricity consumption for high-tech and equipment manufacturing industries increasing by 6.7% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 153.2 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 10.3% year-on-year, with electricity consumption for charging and swapping services as well as information transmission, software and information technology services increasing by 60.2% and 18.9% respectively; and the electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' daily lives was 105.7 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 9.8%.
From January to November, total electricity consumption accumulated to 946.02 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year, with the electricity consumption of large-scale industrial enterprises reaching 88.567 billion kilowatt-hours. Looking at electricity consumption by sector, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 13.74 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 10.3% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 604.36 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 3.7% year-on-year, with industrial electricity consumption increasing by 3.9% year-on-year and electricity consumption for high-tech and equipment manufacturing industries increasing by 6.4% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 18.204 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year, with electricity consumption for charging and swapping services as well as information transmission, software and information technology services increasing by 48.3% and 16.8% respectively; and the electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' daily lives was 14.588 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.1% year-on-year.
