The latest "AMC Building Price Index" reported a value of 134.39 points, an increase of 0.22% compared to the previous week, marking the fourth consecutive week of increases and reaching a new high of approximately 1.5 years. The latest building price index has increased by 1.87% compared to four weeks ago, with a cumulative increase of 4.89% so far this year, representing a 6.42% increase from the low point earlier in the year.
The Hong Kong property market has shown improvement, with prices continuing to rise. The latest property price index has increased by 1.87% compared to four weeks ago, with a total increase of 4.89% so far this year, representing a 6.42% increase from the low point of the year. In terms of confidence index, Centaline Property analyst Ken Sung Chiu pointed out that with the US resuming bond purchases, market liquidity has increased, boosting the atmosphere of the Hong Kong property market. Owners have increased confidence in the future market, leading to an increase in the confidence index. The latest "Centaline Confidence Index", which reflects owners' listing attitudes, is reported at 73.8 points, showing a slight increase of 0.1% compared to the previous week after two weeks of decline. Most importantly, the confidence index has continued to be above average, indicating a strong upward trend in Hong Kong property prices. When divided into 3 districts, property prices in the 3 districts show individual developments. The latest "Centaline Hong Kong Island Property Price Index" is reported at 140.56 points, showing a weekly increase of 0.3%; the latest "Centaline Kowloon Property Price Index" is reported at 139.13 points, showing a weekly increase of 0.48%; on the other hand, the "Centaline New Territories Property Price Index" is reported at 123.29 points, showing a slight decrease of 0.01% compared to the previous week. When compared to four weeks ago, property prices in all 3 districts have increased, with Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories increasing by 2.1%, 0.94%, and 2.6% respectively. As for the change in property prices so far this year, Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories have seen increases of 3.41%, 6.18%, and 4.32% respectively.
