The second draft of the draft clearly states that online games and other online publications should use the national common language as the basic language and characters.
Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, December 22 (Reporter Wei Guanyu) The 19th meeting of the 14th NPC Standing Committee continued to review the draft amendment of the National Common Language Law on December 22. The second draft of the draft clearly stipulates that online games and other online publications should use the national common language as the basic language and script. It is understood that the draft was initially reviewed and solicited opinions from the public. Some members of the Standing Committee, NPC deputies, relevant departments, local authorities, and the public suggested further regulating the use of the national common language in online publications and stipulating the language and script used in online publications. The second draft of the draft clarifies this by stipulating that online games and other online publications should use the national common language as the basis for language and script. In order to better play the role of the national common language in international exchanges, the second draft of the draft also stipulates that for international exhibitions, international conferences, and other events held domestically, if foreign languages are needed for signage, signs, promotional materials, etc., the national common language should also be used. Chinese international education should teach the national common language, and promote cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations through international cooperation.
