Due to the increase in the proportion of same-day visitors, the average length of stay for tourists decreased by 0.2 days to 1.0 days annually; however, the average length of stay for same-day visitors (0.2 days) and overnight visitors (2.3 days) remained the same.
In terms of tourist source analysis, the number of tourists from mainland China in November increased by 21.9% annually to 2,397,043, with individual tourists (1,262,722) increasing by 36.1%. The number of tourists entering through the "One Week, One Visit," "Multiple Visit Visa," and "Group Travel" arrangements was 222,302, 111,858, and 29,518 respectively. With the growth in tourists from Zhuhai driving a 71.2% annual increase, the integration of the Greater Bay Area saw the number of visitors from the nine cities in the Pearl River Delta increase by 33.0% to 1,279,819. The number of tourists from Hong Kong SAR (584,108) and Taiwan (90,582) increased by 5.4% and 27.1% respectively compared to the same period last year.
There were a total of 273,950 international tourists in November, an increase of 13.6% annually. In Southeast Asia, the number of tourists from the Philippines (49,748), Indonesia (18,109), and Thailand (15,140) increased by 2.3%, 23.1%, and 49.4% respectively. The number of tourists from Malaysia (20,706) remained the same as last year, while visitors from Singapore (12,920) decreased by 6.6%. Tourists from India in South Asia (8,766) increased by 3.1% compared to the same period last year. In Northeast Asia, visitors from South Korea (55,517) and Japan (16,187) increased by 14.2% and 38.1% respectively annually. Among long-haul tourists, visitors from the United States (17,502) increased by 7.9% annually.
In terms of inbound channels, the number of tourists entering by land route (2,753,786, 82.3% of the total) increased by 21.4% annually in November, with visitors entering through the Portas do Cerco and Hengqin ports recording increases of 30.4% and 57.0% respectively. The number of tourists entering by sea (328,691, 9.8%) and air (263,206, 7.9%) increased by 5.1% and 4.9% respectively annually.
In the first eleven months of 2025, a total of 36,489,230 inbound tourists visited, an annual increase of 14.4%; same-day visitors (21,417,604) and overnight visitors (15,071,626) increased by 24.7% and 2.4% respectively. The cumulative average length of stay for tourists decreased by 0.1 days to 1.1 days annually; however, the average length of stay for same-day visitors (0.2 days) and overnight visitors (2.3 days) remained the same as the same period last year.
