Hong Kong Buildings Department: Approved a total of 6 sets of building plans in October.
In October, the Hong Kong Buildings Department approved a total of 6 sets of architectural drawings, including 2 from Hong Kong Island, 3 from Kowloon, and 1 from the New Territories.
According to the news from the Hong Kong Buildings Department on December 19, a total of 6 sets of building plans were approved in October, including 2 on Hong Kong Island, 3 in Kowloon, and 1 in the New Territories. The approved plans include three residential and mixed-use developments, two commercial developments, and one factory and industrial development. There are also 6 approved construction projects, which will provide a total of 100,934 square meters of residential building floor area, with 2,144 units, and 5,614 square meters of non-residential building floor area upon completion. In addition, the department also received notices for the commencement of construction for 6 building projects.
The Buildings Department also issued 19 occupation permits, including 6 on Hong Kong Island, 4 in Kowloon, and 9 in the New Territories. The total residential building floor area for these permits is 182,437 square meters, with 3,820 units; while the non-residential building floor area is 85,543 square meters. The total value of newly completed buildings in October is approximately HK$7.3 billion.
Furthermore, the department approved two demolition projects. In October, the department received 2,636 reports of unauthorized building works and issued 406 removal orders for such structures.
