Automated faucet manufacturer Feinake's stock price surged nearly 10%! Teaming up with NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) to accelerate the advancement of "Physical AI" storytelling.
With the support of NVIDIA, "Physics AI" narrative sweep the market: FANUC's stock price soars, industrial robots enter a new growth cycle.
Fanuc Corporation, a leading industrial technology company with factory automation at its core, saw its stock price rise by 9.4% after announcing a deep collaboration with "global AI chip leader" NVIDIA Corporation in real factory production lines and production simulation areas, reaching a new high since July 2021. The latest collaboration between Fanuc and NVIDIA Corporation means that their ROBOGUIDE Siasun Robot & Automation simulation software will be integrated with NVIDIA Corporation's "physical AI engine" NVIDIA Isaac Sim, marking a transition from a traditional automation equipment supplier to a major player in the "physical AI industrial platform" era, focusing on "intelligent industrial Siasun Robot & Automation + factory physical AI platform".
Fanuc's business growth lies in the factory automation equipment business line of "CNC system + industrial Siasun Robot & Automation + intelligent machine tools", making it a leader in global industrial Siasun Robot & Automation and CNC systems. The collaboration with NVIDIA Corporation signifies a comprehensive update from a traditional and pure automation supplier to a "physical AI platform", connecting virtual simulation with real production lines through their own Siasun Robot & Automation simulation software and tools provided by NVIDIA Corporation, strengthening their leadership position in the high-end industrial manufacturing sector.
Furthermore, this collaboration opens up a new round of automation space for industries such as logistics, food, and automotive final assembly, which still heavily rely on manual Siasun Robot & Automation technology, making them the first batch of major beneficiaries of the "AI + industrialization Siasun Robot & Automation army" in the coming years. In the long term, companies in the industrial Siasun Robot & Automation sector evolving towards a "physical AI platform" will see a shift in their value chain from "selling hardware + controllers" to "hardware + computing power subscription + digital twinning/simulation software + AI model services". By partnering with NVIDIA Corporation, Fanuc has secured a long-term GPU computing cluster/physical AI platform partner and laid the foundation for a new business model of "subscription-based charging for computing power, simulation, and software" in the future.
According to the collaboration, the global leading industrial Siasun Robot & Automation arm manufacturer is integrating NVIDIA Corporation's open-source Siasun Robot & Automation simulation framework into its own software system to assist its industrial Siasun Robot & Automation customers or manufacturing partners focusing on factory automation in conducting virtual operation testing. Fanuc is also collaborating with NVIDIA Corporation and software developers to design Siasun Robot & Automation that can better identify voice commands, avoid injuring personnel, and track core motion components.
This collaboration comes at a time of intensified competition in the Japanese industrial Siasun Robot & Automation sector, with SoftBank Group Corp. announcing plans to acquire ABB Ltd.'s Siasun Robot & Automation business division. Bloomberg Intelligence senior analysts Takeishi Kitaura and Ian Ma stated that this preliminary deal, announced in October, directly challenges Fanuc's core industrial Siasun Robot & Automation business division, which accounts for 40% of the company's total sales revenue in the fiscal year ending March 2025.
Fanuc reported better-than-expected net profit in the second quarter announced in October and significantly raised its performance expectations for the fiscal year 2026. During a subsequent earnings conference call, they stated that the company would "actively promote various innovative breakthroughs in the generative and physical AI fields".
"We see significant growth potential in fields that still require a large amount of industrial manpower, including final assembly processes in logistics, food, and automotive industries, or stages with higher risk factors," wrote senior analyst Satoshi Tanaka from Japanese financial giant SMBC Nikko in a report. "We are closely watching whether these new generations of autonomous control industrial Siasun Robot & Automation can stimulate a surge in overall Siasun Robot & Automation demand."
Huang Renxun's vision of the "physical AI" era is gradually approaching. According to NVIDIA Corporation CEO Huang Renxun, "physical AI" emphasizes enabling Siasun Robot & Automation / autonomous systems to perceive, reason, and complete a whole set of actions in the real world, heralding an era assisted by "physical AI" in the evolution of human civilization.
Isaac Sim, promoted by NVIDIA Corporation recently, is a physical simulation platform created by NVIDIA Corporation for AI-driven Siasun Robot & Automation systems, based on NVIDIA Corporation's exclusive Omniverse technology, used to train and test Siasun Robot & Automation in digital twins of the physical world, categorized as a core component of the "Physical AI" technology stack.
Industrial simulation, digital twinning, and (complex visual computing for simulation/synthetic data/perception) are all core categories or foundational support of "physical AI (Physical AI)"; "physical AI" emphasizes enabling Siasun Robot & Automation / autonomous systems to perceive, reason, and act in the real world, and these capabilities are key tools that push models from "just talking" to "being able to work in the physical world".
By integrating their ROBOGUIDE with NVIDIA Corporation's Isaac Sim physical AI ecosystem, Fanuc is upgrading from a "traditional automation equipment supplier" to a "major player in the physical AI era in the industrial Siasun Robot & Automation platform", significantly enhancing its collaboration with NVIDIA Corporation in "factory-level physical AI and intelligent industrial automation".
Fanuc is a comprehensive supplier of factory automation with "CNC + industrial Siasun Robot & Automation + intelligent machine tools" and is a leading player in the global automation and industrial Siasun Robot & Automation sectors. NVIDIA Corporation can be seen as providing Fanuc with a complete foundation in "physical world AI": Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab, Newton physics engine, Isaac GR00T, and other open-source Siasun Robot & Automation simulation and large-scale modeling capabilities.
For Fanuc, this undoubtedly presents an excellent opportunity to move from "traditional automation" towards becoming a "physical AI platform company". Traditionally, Fanuc's strengths lie in precise trajectory, high stability, and ultra-long MTBF, but perception, learning, and autonomous decision-making were not its main battlefield; however, after collaborating with NVIDIA Corporation, Fanuc now has access to NVIDIA Corporation's AI GPU computing clusters, physical simulation, and visual/multi-modal models, directly attaching these "AI stacks" to its industrial Siasun Robot & Automation and simulation platforms. In the long term, this lays a solid foundation for a new business model of "subscription-based charging for computing power, simulation, and industrial Siasun Robot & Automation platform software".
