Chen Guoji expressed that Hong Kong will continue to seize its advantage position in the national development blueprint, continue to leverage the advantages under "One Country, Two Systems", cooperate with the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan, and seize the opportunities of the Greater Bay Area.
The Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong, Chen Kaige, attended the sixth Greater Bay Area Development Forum and stated in his speech that the Hong Kong government will actively nurture and develop new local productive forces to drive high-quality development through innovation and technology. In particular, the He Tao Hong Kong Park will collaborate with Shenzhen to create a world-class technology innovation platform, supporting the country in building a strong technological power. Facing a complex and constantly changing environment, Hong Kong will continue to seize its advantages position in the national development blueprint, leveraging the advantages under "One Country, Two Systems" to seize the opportunities of the Greater Bay Area in line with the 15th five-year plan. Chen Kaige stated that the proposals in the 15th five-year plan regarding regional development, especially the major deployment of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, will guide the future work direction of the Hong Kong government. By playing the role of a super connector and value-added intermediary between the mainland and the international community, Hong Kong will continue to strengthen its role as a two-way platform for "bringing in" and "going out", injecting Hong Kong's strength into the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. The policy address sets out a number of measures to deepen cooperation within the Greater Bay Area to promote comprehensive regional integration. The Northern Metropolis Area will become an important engine for economic growth and technological innovation, as well as a new platform for Hong Kong to interact with other cities in the Greater Bay Area, and will become an important gateway for Hong Kong to integrate into the national development plan.
