According to data from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macao, a total of 1,411 building units and parking spaces completed the stamp duty payment procedures in the third quarter of this year, with a total value of 62.6 billion Macau patacas.
According to the data from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macau, a total of 1,411 residential units and parking spaces completed the stamp duty payment process in the third quarter of this year, with a total value of 62.6 billion Macau dollars. The average price per square meter of residential units is 74,190 Macau dollars. There were 955 residential units sold in the third quarter, an increase of 154 compared to the previous quarter, with a total transaction value of 46.1 billion Macau dollars, a 24.8% increase. The number of existing residential units sold (725) and the amount (32.6 billion dollars) decreased by 4.1% and 6.3% respectively. Meanwhile, the number of newly launched residential units (230) and the amount (13.5 billion dollars) increased by 411.1% and 529.7%. The average price per square meter of residential units increased by 7.7% in the quarter, with the average price on the Macau Peninsula (74,590 dollars) increasing by 12.6%, driven mainly by newly launched residential developments. In Coloane (87,093 dollars) there was a 4.0% increase, while in Taipa (70,110 dollars) there was a 4.6% decrease. The average price of existing residential units decreased by 3.2% to 65,897 dollars, with most transactions concentrated in the central area of Taipa (114 units), the new reclamation area in Hac Sa Beach (79 units), and the Hac Sa Beach and Yuhu area (52 units), with average prices per square meter of 72,966 dollars, 78,762 dollars, and 49,191 dollars respectively. The average price of newly launched residential developments increased by 9.1% to 112,645 dollars. Regarding private construction, as of the end of the third quarter of this year, there were 5,778 residential units in the design stage and 1,357 units under construction, with 787 units undergoing inspection. During the quarter, 327 residential units were granted construction approval, all located on the Macau Peninsula, with non-interconnected units and two-bedroom units accounting for 85.6% and 13.5% respectively.
