Photovoltaic stocks collectively declined. As of the time of writing, Triumph New Energy (01108) fell by 3.94% to HK$4.15; XINTE ENERGY (01799) fell by 3.14% to HK$8.03; XINYI ENERGY (03868) fell by 3.88% to HK$1.24; FLAT GLASS (06865) fell by 2.77% to HK$11.93; XINYI SOLAR (00968) fell by 2.72% to HK$3.57. In terms of news, according to a report by The Paper, Liu Hanyuan, chairman of Tongwei Group's board of directors, stated that the promotion of "silicon material storage" involves solving conceptual and ideological issues, forming consensus on anti-internal circulation and anti-monopoly issues, and the entire industry needs to exercise self-discipline and retain some excess production capacity to respond to dynamic changes in demand. Liu Hanyuan believes that silicon material storage will not touch upon anti-monopoly issues, nor should it be a reason to question upstream integration. Nomura released a research report stating that strengthening self-discipline in the industry in the medium term will maintain high utilization rates, drive price recovery, and improve profitability. However, in the short term, there are still challenges such as high inventory levels and weak seasonal downstream demand, leading to weakening product prices. It is currently estimated that in November, polysilicon production will decrease by approximately 20,000 tons to 120,000 tons compared to the previous month, silicon wafer production will decrease by 5% to 57GW, and cell production will decrease by 2% to 57GW.
