CIRC (01763) announced that recently, CIRC signed an "Intentional Purchase Agreement for Irradiation Cobalt-60 Radiation Sources" with the Brazilian National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN), marking the first export of self-produced irradiation cobalt-60 radiation sources by CIRC to the Latin American market. This also represents the first substantive cooperation achievement between the two parties under the framework of the "Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the Field of Isotope Procurement" signed in October 2025.
According to the "Intentional Purchase Agreement for Irradiation Cobalt-60 Radiation Sources", CNEN will purchase irradiation cobalt-60 radiation sources from CIRC to enhance the irradiation capability of its subsidiary, the Brazilian Institute of Nuclear and Energy Research (IPEN), for various applications in technology research, material research, and irradiation processing, continuously promoting the benefits of irradiation technology to Brazilian society.
