In September, the Buildings Department of Hong Kong approved a total of 9 sets of building plans, including 4 on Hong Kong Island and 5 in the New Territories.
In September, the Hong Kong Buildings Department approved a total of 9 sets of building plans, including 4 on Hong Kong Island and 5 in the New Territories. These plans include three residential and mixed-use developments, four commercial developments, one community service development, and one factory and industrial development. Eight construction projects have been approved to start, which will provide a total of 11,985 square meters of residential building floor area, comprising 216 units, and 14,785 square meters of non-residential building floor area once completed. Additionally, the department has received notices for the start of superstructure works on three building projects.
The Buildings Department also issued 16 occupation permits in September, with 4 in Hong Kong Island, 4 in Kowloon, and 8 in the New Territories. The total residential building floor area for these permits is 51,721 square meters, comprising 1004 units, while the non-residential building floor area is 100,005 square meters. The total value of newly completed buildings in September is approximately HK$4.1 billion. Furthermore, the department approved three demolition projects. In September, the department received 2,485 reports of unauthorized building works and issued 898 demolition orders.
