On November 16, the official WeChat account of China Railway published an article stating that since the beginning of this year, China National Railway Group Limited has adhered to the development ideology of putting people at the center, actively adapting to the diverse travel needs of passengers, continuously deepening the structural reform of transportation supply, strengthening passenger transportation organization, enriching passenger products supply, optimizing station and station services quality, ensuring safe, convenient, warm travel for passengers, helping the economy to continue to rise and inject new vitality into the "mobile China." From January to October this year, the national railway sent 3.95 billion passengers, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%, reaching a new high in the same period in history, and the national railway transportation is safe, stable and orderly.
First, the passenger traffic volume reached a historical high in the same period. Make good use of the newly added transportation capacity this year, and tap the potential of transportation capacity in every possible way, dynamically optimize and adjust the train operation schedule. From January to October, the national railway sent a total of 3.95 billion passengers, reaching a historical high in the same period, among which, on October 1, 23.132 million passengers were sent, setting a new record for the daily passenger traffic in railway history. Maintain the scale of operation of regular passenger trains, operate public welfare "slow trains" and rural revitalization trains, and provide convenience for the elderly, young, border and poverty-stricken areas to travel.
Second, the supply of passenger products is more flexible and efficient. Actively promote the integrated development of railways and tourism, vigorously operate themed tourism trains such as parent-child tours, red tours, health tours, and silver special trains, providing passengers with diversified travel choices and high-quality travel experiences. From January to October, the national railway operated 2049 tourism trains, an increase of 28.1% year-on-year. Precisely connect various local events, exhibitions, art performances, and customized operation of "fan train," "sports fan train," and "study train", activate the "theme train+" economy, and promote the development of service consumption.
Third, passenger services are continuously optimized and improved. Implement a series of convenient, beneficial, and beneficial measures for the people, such as discounts for student, child, disabled military personnel passengers on EMU trains, enjoying "discounts on discounts." Upgrade the "Railway Smooth Travel" frequent passenger membership service, passengers aged 60 and above and passengers aged 14 to 28 can respectively receive 3 times and 2 times the points of regular frequent passenger members when purchasing tickets. The railway 12306 customer service center has added group ticket telephone acceptance services, and the single-ticket purchase limit on the railway 12306 app (including the website) has been increased to 19 tickets, making it more convenient for various group passengers to travel. Strengthen services for key passengers such as the elderly, children, sick and disabled, pregnant women, improve response efficiency and service quality, help to create a warm travel environment. The high-speed rail pet consignment service trial covers 40 stations and 54 trains, and the "light travel" service trial covers 30 stations, meeting the diverse travel needs of passengers. Provide on-the-way services such as code for smooth railway travel, convenient transfer, and internet meal ordering, with 94 internet meal ordering sites reached, improving the quality of catering supply and striving to provide a good meal box.
Next, China Railway Group will closely monitor the operation of passenger flow and changes in market demand, dynamically optimize the operation plan of passenger trains, continuously deepen the flexible discount and market-oriented ticket price mechanism of EMU trains, implement various beneficial and beneficial measures for the people, and create a good travel environment for the general public.
