On Wednesday, the US nuclear power sector saw gains, with Oklo (OKLO.US) rising by more than 10%, NANO Nuclear Energy (NNE.US) up by nearly 5%, Energy Fuels (UUUU.US) up by over 3%, and NuScale Power (SMR.US) up by more than 2%. In terms of news, it was reported that in order to meet the huge electricity demand brought by the development of AI, the Trump administration plans to use billions of dollars of national funds to finance the construction of new nuclear power plants, ensuring the energy foundation of the AI revolution. The U.S. Energy Corp. Department will use the majority of the loan funds to support nuclear power construction, with the goal of starting construction on dozens of nuclear power plants within three years to fill the energy infrastructure funding gap of up to trillions of dollars.
