Tiangong International (00826) rose by nearly 7% during trading, as of the time of this report, it had risen by 5.54%, to 3.05 Hong Kong dollars, with a trading volume of 88.4824 million Hong Kong dollars.
TIANGONG INT'L (00826) rose nearly 7% intraday, as of the time of writing, it rose by 5.54% to HKD 3.05, with a turnover of HKD 88.4824 million. On the news front, recently, the "Suggestions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development" proposed forward-looking layout for future industries, promoting nuclear fusion energy to become a new economic growth point. Huayuan Securities pointed out that powder metallurgy technology will become the underlying capability platform for TIANGONG INT'L to enter the strategic new materials and high-end manufacturing track, potentially bringing double performance and valuation growth. Among them, the structural and functional materials for nuclear fusion have extremely high requirements for high temperature and radiation resistance, relying on the powder metallurgy system for preparation. As global nuclear fusion technology accelerates commercialization, the company is expected to become a core node in the supply chain, with growth potential as the industry opens up. Soochow stated that the blanket is one of the core components of the magnetic confinement fusion device Tokamak, therefore it needs to have good resistance to radiation swelling, high temperature strength, thermal conductivity, and inherent low activation characteristics. RAFM steel is widely recognized as the most mature and mainstream blanket candidate structural material. At the same time, the high boron neutron absorption capacity, along with sufficient mechanical and corrosion resistance properties, make boron steel an extremely attractive shielding material. Currently, the company has successfully overcome the core technology of high boron steel (304B7), a new neutron shielding material for fusion devices, and has achieved small-scale trial production. Meanwhile, the company is accelerating the application development of advanced low activation steel (RAFM steel) for critical fusion structural materials.
